1. What is Purista?
Purista is a new integrated treatment, which helps to keep clothes cleaner and fresher for longer.

2. How does this treatment work?
The treatment is integrated into the fabric at the manufacturing stage and works by combating the growth of bacteria that arises in everyday use, increasing your comfort and well-being and providing you with a new fresh clothes confidence.

3. If I use Purista treated products, does that mean I can stop washing my clothes?
We wouldn't recommend that you stop laundering clothes, but you may be able to wash them less often.

4. Which products can Purista be used in?
Currently, Purista is being used in clothing and home textiles and some plastic products.

5. Where can I buy Purista treated products?
Purista treated socks are currently stocked in a wide range of retailers including: Matalan, Primark, Peacocks, Jeff and Co., Burton, Dorothy Perkins, Littlewoods, Morrisons, Ethel Austin, TJ Hughes, George, NEXT, BHS. NEXT and Moss Bros have also recently started to use Purista in suit linings in selected men's suits.

6. Are Purista treated products more expensive than those that aren't Purista treated?
This decision is for the retailer to make, but the majority of retailers choose to offer the treatment as an added benefit and therefore, do not increase the price.

7. How do I know if a product contains Purista?
The majority of products that contain Purista will have the Purista logo incorporated into the packaging.


8. Does Purista make fabrics smell any different?
Purista isn't a fragrance and doesn't have any odour, so you can't smell it, but you will be able to notice the absence of unpleasant smells usually caused by bacteria and other microorganisms.

9. Does Purista wash out?
Under the normal washing conditions specified on fabric care labels, Purista will remain effective over the practical lifetime of the article.

10. Does Purista irritate the skin?
When used at the correct levels, Purista is unlikely to irritate even the most sensitive skin, which includes babies and children.

11. Can I still use fabric softeners and bleaches on Purista treated fabrics?
Yes it is safe to use fabric softeners and colour-safe bleaches, it is also fine to tumble dry these fabrics.

12. Does Purista have any harmful effects on the environment?
Extensive testing has been undertaken to assess the environment impact of Purista treated textiles. The use of Purista as recommended does not raise any environmental concerns.
